An Honest Review of Drug Lord Tycoon

Image
Disclaimer: Drug Lord Tycoon is not in a finished state.  My review reflects an early version of the game.   Ever dreamed of ruling the underworld? Building an empire so vast, even your enemies can't keep up? Welcome to the chaotic, addictive world of Drug Lord Tycoon ! Here's my unfiltered take on this wild ride of a game. At first glance, the gameplay might seem straightforward, but don't be fooled—there's a surprising amount of strategy lurking beneath the surface. You kick things off in a humble little room, growing weed in pots under UV lights. Keep those plants hydrated, or they'll stubbornly refuse to grow. (Dry dirt is a no-go for your budding empire.) The game eases you in with a simple tutorial and a modest $4,000 to get started. With that cash, you’ll set up your first five plants. But don’t forget the essentials—like a drying station and a production point. Without these, your operation will grind to a halt faster than you can say 'kingpin.' Once...

Unfiltered Insights on Daily Driven Racer

Image
Daily driven racer feels like an early 2000s inspired PC racer. To me it reminds me of the old Shockwave games that you could play on your computer on shockwave.com. I don't even know if that website exists anymore or was safe to play games on.  Daily driven racer heavily focuses on split screen multiplayer to get the most fun out of everything you do. There are plenty of challenge modes that you can play alongside your friends like cops and robbers. You can do sprint races, Battle mode, and a couple other options. I don't have anybody to play these split screen modes with so I'll have to hold off on doing a review on that section of the game. The game physics feel extremely nice. They are almost perfect for your daily arcade racer. The AI is fairly intelligent and can race well. They are actually difficult to beat if you chose the wrong car for the race. What I will be focusing on is the soul single player section. There are six game modes to choose from in the single pla...

FlatOut Ultimate Carnage: A Game of the Past That Defined the Future

Image
When did you realize you loved racing games? For me, it happened when I discovered a new kind of game—FlatOut Ultimate Carnage on the PSP. At that point in my life, I didn't even know computer games existed. Well, I did know about flash games, but I had no idea FlatOut was part of the computer gaming world. FlatOut was one of the first games that truly exhilarated me. The car crashes, the explosions, the excessive destruction—all of it came together to create an amazing experience that, in my opinion, remains unmatched by today's standards. Even now, the graphics hold up impressively well. I was amazed by what the PSP managed to deliver with its limited disk space. The game plays just like the PC version. FlatOut Ultimate Carnage features two career modes: the All-Out Challenge mode, where you complete challenges to progress, and the traditional Career mode, where you race your way up the tournament ranks, earning money to buy cars and obliterate your opponents. How often do y...

An Honest Review of World Racing 2

Image
Throughout my childhood, I only had the chance to play the original Xbox a few times. I remember playing the original Halo and other classic Xbox games that evoked my excitement, including  World Racing. I stumbled upon a copy of the game while browsing Steam recently, and it was on sale. I got a flutter of excitement and purchased the game right away! Right off the bat I could feel the rush of energy flow through me as the title screen booted up. I started the career mode, and played the first three races in the career mode. It was everything I remembered! From the wacky arcade physics, the ugly looking car models, the Xbox era feeling you get when playing the game.  Then I turned the game off.  Why did I turn the game off? The game is blisteringly hard to play. I am extremely good at racing games, but you have to do everything in your power to prevent the AI from overtaking you. It's absolutely wild that it's so difficult to play the game. I went to our trusty friend, t...

Why FlatOut is the Ultimate Pioneer of Racing Games

Image
FlatOut is probably one of the most inovative racing games in the PS2 gaming era. As a young kid I found this game in the bottom of my friends game bin. I was naturally curious about what it was. I felt inclined to asked for him to describe the game to me. My friend explained that it was a derby style game where you crash cars, and race your way up to the top of the derby ranks. This game was everything I had ever dreamed of! I was all hyped up to buckle in, and get racing! I remember that we never really focused on the career mode anywhere near what I do when I revisit the game. When I was a child all I wanted to do was get the tinyest car I could find, and do the high jump challenge. It is still one of my favorite things to do in FlatOut. Sure there are technically better titles out there now. For me its partially about the nestalgia. I love getting into that semi low poly car, flying down the track, and hoping I dont break my neck in the process. Aside from Grand Theft Auto, and Bur...

SnowRunner Unpacked: The Ultimate Deep-Dive Review!

Image
Intro: Snowrunner... Need I say more? A game based around getting stuck in the mud and doing your best to rehabilitate places destroyed by natural disasters. A true runner in the boxing ring since simulation offroad games became popular again in the early 2020 era. I have held this game close to my heart for years. I have spent too much time playing. I wont say how long but if you are a seasoned player you will know how long. Gameplay: Truck, mud, and spin your tires all the way into a vast world of driving fun! If you are scouting the coast, or delivering heavy and hazardous cargo. There is a job for everyone. Join your friends in a 4 player coop game. Make sure you join a voice chat with them so you can communicate where you are, and what you are doing. Its almost necessary to get tasks and contracts done. Many people feel that the game is too slow for their liking, but if you really just sit back, listen to some music, and your friends its always a blast! Fun Factor: Is this g...

Folded, Flipped, and Refined: A Candid Take on Paper 2 Origami Refolded!

Image
Paper 2 Origami Refolded This game brings wonder into my eyes. Its as if I'm a child at school reading into a notebook that teaches me how to fold origami. What a blessing it is to have the creator of this game give it to me for free. The world of origami has always fascinated me and I never spent the time to actually dive into it. With this game you have every chance to dive into it! This review will not be one of my standard reviews. This game is very much a puzzle game and I will approach it in a way that reflects the game best. There are no fancy graphics and cool explosions in a game like this. It does not need that to be extremely fun! So i will not mention graphics at this time. It's a minimalist puzzle game. I'm going to make a short list of things you need to know about this game, and what makes it so fun. I love this title, and will continue to play it to 100% completion. Pros: Easy and engaging beginner levels Quick to learn controls Powerup unlocks with each set...

Motordoom Madness: Revved-Up and Ruthlessly Honest Review!

Image
Intro: Motordoom is a fever dream I wish that I had before. Every second of gameplay is worth the effort you put into it. Vampire Survivor mixed with tony hawk pro skater. What a crazy combo! Gameplay: Gameplay is extremely fluid. The game is based around the PlayStation 1 era of graphics, and control settings. This is executed flawlessly, and I can not say that enough. Every ounce of energy you invest in this game is intense and exciting. Try doing a 250,000 point combo while running away from enemies. It is so much fun! Doing tricks, and killing enemies nets you XP. When you level up you get a set of cards you can choose from to increase your characters stats on that run. Runs typically last around 5 to 15 minutes. At the start of a round you have a timer that counts down to the boss fight. You have to level up as much as possible in that time frame. Once the timer runs out you have a huge wave of enemies hurling towards you. This also clearly includes the boss. Once the boss dies yo...
